ExcelSystems Software Development Inc. (ESDI) develops and supports a suite of tools, utilities and application software targeting the IBM iSeries/AS400 and i5 platform. Through successful partnerships with BCD Software International, based in Chicago IL, and our international dealers, ESDI has become a recognized leader in the IBM midrange marketplace. Our products include:

• WebSmart - Windows based IDE to design and build browser based applications served by CGI programs or Java servlets
• Nexus - Enterprise Web portal - developed using WebSmart
• Catapult and Spool-Explorer - Report management and distribution utilities
• ProGen Plus - ILE RPG application/code generator for iSeries development
• Other iSeries centric database management, inquiry and documentation products

Software Support Analyst

ExcelSystems is looking for an innovative, energetic individual to join our Software Support team. This is an entry-level programming position that will offer a mix of technical support, web application development, product maintenance and new product development.

Our Software Support Team provides support to a range of professional software developers and system administrators. As a software support analyst you will be responsible for providing technical support via telephone and email. You will become proficient with our suite of award winning development tools, well established in the IBM AS/400 and iSeries marketplace. You will work with other support team members to provide answers to technical questions, research reported problems and implement program modifications.

We prefer that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills, enjoy talking with people on the telephone, have an understanding of relational database concepts and enjoy working in a closely-knit organization, with opportunities for self-advancement through initiative.
