TanMist offers a unique assortment of sunless tanning products which are competitively priced and easy to use. With a growing awareness of the harmful effects of UV rays, sunless tanning solutions are becoming more popular.

The new e-commerce web site at www.tanmist.com was developed by BCD Consulting Group under the direction of Dave Hickman, IS Directory for Testor Corp. The TanMist site content is completely dynamic. Administrative programs allow authorized personnel to modify product information, QA, product pricing and page text without changing or recompiling the WebSmart programs. The TanMist web site utilizes direct SSL payment processing using new functions now available in WebSmart 4. These functions, together with the interface written for TanMist, process secure credit card authorizations initiated by the consumer using WebSmart applications on the site. They also support the ability to process batch transactions as orders are filled using a secure HTTP connection where the AS/400 acts as a web service consumer. Using web services eliminates the need for data exchange via EDI or cumbersome dial-up facilities. It provides immediate response and can plug into WebSmart browser applications or existing batch processes.
