Installation Instructions
These instructions are for new installs of File-Flash Plus 4.50 only. Please log in to myFreschesolutions.com to access the User Guide.
Step 3: Install File-Flash Plus on your IBM i.
After closing the upload window, log on to an IBM i session as QSECOFR. Run the command BCDINSTALL/BCDINSTALL. At the panel presented, select the product File-Flash Plus and press Enter.
Upgrade Note: If you are upgrading your previous File-Flash Plus library will be saved in a save file named "FFP_LIBOLD" in the library "FFP_INST" after installation. An upgrade retains your user default and repository settings. Note that these settings don't significantly affect how FFPlus works, so you don't need to be unduly concerned about retaining them. For additional details, please refer to the install instructions in the File-Flash Plus User's Guide which is available on myBCDsoftware.com and includes tutorials and reference information for all the features in the product.
Follow the on-screen instructions. The install will prompt you to choose whether you want to install the demo library FFP_DEMO45:
You can use the files and data in the demo library to experiment with as you're learning how to use File-Flash Plus.
When the install finishes you are prompted to enter your File-Flash Plus License Key:
If you don't have a valid license key to hand, contact BCD at (630) 986-0800 to request one.
After entering your license key, confirm that the library FFPLUS is in your library list and run the command GO FFPLUS. This presents the File-Flash Plus Main Menu. If the panel is presented successfully, you're ready to get started with learning to use the product.
