In addition to the Windows interface for downloading spool files you can initiate downloads to multiple PCs by running an iSeries command, ZDWNSPLF, or by embedding the command in a CL program. The command supports several different download options.

Distribution Lists

You can define a distribution list to be used with the ZDWNSPLF that references a set of PCs that are ready to receive reports. You can then reference the distribution list name instead of a single PC name on the download command. When executed, the command retrieves the spool file data and proceeds to download it to a file on each PC specified in the distribution list. |
