Automatic HTML Tag Completion
|
Coding HTML is now more efficient. When you open an HTML tag, WebSmart will now automatically insert the closing tag for you.

New Generation Warning Message Window
|
You no longer have to clear individual alerts dialogue boxes as non-critical generation warnings are detected. WebSmart now includes a new dockable status window for reporting generation warnings.

New Template Themes

We've completely re-imagined WebSmart's program templates with four new template themes that have modern looks and updated CSS and HTML, including being HTML5-ready.
The new template themes use jQuery UI so it's easier to create your own themes using ThemeRoller, a jQuery widget (buttons, action icons) CSS generator. Using ThemeRoller, you can select pre-determined color combinations or create your own without writing CSS.
The new template families are:
- Arctic: a crisp, lightweight look.
- Cascadia: a navy blue-based color scheme.
- Nightfall: a bold header with a subtle background.
- Sonora: muted background provides the perfect backdrop for your content.

Debug Watch Window
|
Debugging is more convenient with WebSmart's new debug watch window. Add variables to the watch window, monitor them and change them on the fly while your program executes.

Source Code Color Themes
|
You can now change the IDE code editor's colors with WebSmart's four new source code color themes.
You can preview the IDE's four new themes by selecting them in Tools > Options > IDE when you have a program open in WebSmart.

- SmartCharts now ship without product branding.
- New JDBC Single Record template.
- Added a sample JDBC connection template source member that simplifies the process of creating a program for establishing a JDBC connection.
- Improved error reporting when piping errors occur.
- Added set names to description in WebSmart Change Management automatic archiving.
- Supports Windows 8.
- The Validation Results window (previously called the Errors window) is now dockable and context-sensitive.
- Drag and drop your segment tabs.
- SQL connections to remote IBM i machines can now be environment-sensitive.
- Real-time mirroring is now possible with High Availability license keys.
- A new function, SetSubStr, lets you substitute characters in the middle of a string.

New jQuery Grid Template
|
The new grid template provides a feature rich environment to display your tabular data. It includes resizable and sortable columns, flexible paging options, scrolling, row highlighting and many CSS styling options.
It also offers a modal window for maintaining records. The grid is based on the jQuery jqGrid object and uses AJAX and JSON to display and process data faster by only refreshing a portion of the screen rather than the entire page.

Non-Flash HTML5 SmartCharts
|
HTML5 versions of SmartCharts are now included so you can display single-series charts on non-Flash
devices such as iPads. With SmartCharts, you can design and integrate real-time animated two and three-dimensional bar charts, pie charts,
executive dashboards and more.

Additional 9.2 New Features:
- Templates are now locally scoped.
- Long function names are now supported in the PML.
