WebSmart ILE System Requirements

Server Side

Minimum iSeries Operating System for WebSmart 7: V5R1M0.

Minimum iSeries Operating System for WebSmart 8.8: V5R3.

TCP/IP running on your iSeries.

RPG IV Compiler.

IBM APACHE HTTP Server (configured correctly).

WebSmart will initially occupy approximately 50 MB on your iSeries, and up to 150 MB during the install until the install lib is removed.

If you plan on creating programs with the SQL templates), you'll need the SQL Developers Kit (Licensed Program: *COMPATIBLE DB2 Query Mgr and SQL DevKit - 5722ST1).

Note the Server side (WAS) and the Developer side(IDE) are licensed separately.

Client Side

Minimum PC requirements: Windows 98, with IE 4 installed.

Minimum processor speed: Pentium 200 (Note: it will run fine on slower machines, just slower!)

Recommended XP with IE7
