WebSmart Updates

Below are the WebSmart PC and iSeries side updates. At the bottom of this page are explanations of how to check what your current release levels are which is needed to apply the correct update.

WebSmart 5.27 - is a Full Install. When you upgrade the iSeries you must upgrade every IDE connecting to it or you will get a level check. Download it here.

WebSmart 5.11 and older versions - If you have a version older than 5.11 please upgrade to the latest version from the downloads page.

WebSmart 4 - Please contact Tech Support if you need a version 4 download or update.

5.27 iSeries side update: W527001P - 2006/06/05

1. Fixes an issue with the setsmurf for numeric data.
2. Updates the program field, removing non-existant field pgmf_gdslibl.

What iSeries updates do I need?

To know what updates you need, you have to check your current release, and the last update you applied. You can find this information by firing up WebSmart and selecting the Help/Test Connection menu option. If you don't have WebSmart on your PC, you can check it on the iSeries directly by running the command: DSPDTAARA XL_WEBLIB/PW_GRLS. The PC update description may also indicate a required level of server side update. If you are at the current release of the software, and the last update you applied was a lower number than the one on this page, then download and apply the update above.

What PC updates do I need?

To check this, launch a WebSmart session and select the Help/About option. Note what build you have currently, then close WebSmart. If the build available on this page is a higher number, and you have applied the related iSeries updates, you should download it and then execute the downloaded file to install the update.
