All BCD products require a valid permanent or temporary license key to activate them. To request a license key please contact BCD. If you have any trouble activating your product, please check the troubleshooting instructions at the bottom of the page.
To find out about each product's requirements please visit the System Requirements page.
Sign on to a new 5250 session to enter keys for all of the following products except EZ-Pickin's. Select the product you are activating from the list below.
License Key Entry Instructions

At WebSmart 6 or higher you only need a single key (32 characters long) for any combination of these products. Follow these instructions to activate any one or combination of these products.
- Add the library XL_WEBLIB to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE XL_WEBLIB'.
- Type the command 'UNLOCK', and press Enter.
- Copy in the license key from the email you received from BCD.
- To test that all components have been activated, generate and launch one of your WebSmart or Clover pgorams. You can also test the WebSmart IDE using the Help/Test Connection option.
To install WebSmart version 5 and earlier keys (only 12 characters long) use the command UNLOCK5 instead of UNLOCK.

Follow the steps below to activate Presto.
- Add the library XL_PRESTO to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE XL_PRESTO'.
- Type the command 'UNLOCK', and press Enter.
- Enter your License Key. We recommend copying and pasting your key if it was sent via email.
- To test if the key is valid try launching the Presto IDE

Follow the steps below to activate ProGen Plus.
- Add the library GN#LIB to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE GN#LIB'.
- Type the command 'PROGENINST', and press Enter.
- Enter your License Key. We recommend copying and pasting your key if it was sent via email. If you are using ILE, type in I into the license key type input. If not leave it as B.
- To test if the key is valid try logging in to ProGen (ZWRKPDF).

Follow the steps below to activate Nexus.
- If you are using Nexus 4 and above add the following libraries in this order:
- ADDLIBLE XL_WEBSPT
- ADDLIBLE XL_NEXUS (or your Nexus library name)
- If you are using Nexus 3.65 and below:
- Add the library XL_SMSLIB to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE XL_SMSLIB'.
- Type the command 'UNLOCK', and press Enter.
- Enter your License Key. We recommend copying and pasting your key if it was sent via email.
- To test if the key is valid you access your Nexus site or try accessing the demo app shipped with Nexus.

Follow the steps below to activate Catapult.
- Add the library XL_CATAPLT to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE XL_CATAPLT'.
- Type the command 'UNLOCK', and press Enter.
- Enter your License Key. We recommend copying and pasting your key if it was sent via email.
- To test if the key is valid attempt to open the Catapult Console.

Follow the steps below to activate Spool-Explorer.
- Add the library XL_PCSPL4 (XL_PCSPL3 if you have version 3) to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE XL_PCSPL4'.
- Type the command 'UNLOCK', and press Enter.
- Enter your License Key. We recommend copying and pasting your key if it was sent via email.
- To test if the key is valid attempt to open Spool-Explorer.

- During install you will be prompted for your license key.
- If it is accepted it is a valid key.

Follow the steps below to activate DbGen.
- Add the library DB#LIB to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE DB#LIB'.
- Type the command 'DBGENINST', and press Enter.
- Enter your License Key. We recommend copying and pasting your key if it was sent via email.
- To test if the key is valid type the command 'DBGEN'.

Follow the steps below to activate Docu-Mint.
- Add the library DM#LIB to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE DM#LIB'.
- Type the command 'STRDOC', and press Enter.
- At the Main Menu type ACTIVATE.
- Enter your License Key. We recommend copying and pasting your key if it was sent via email.
- You may have to exit the Main Menu and come back to refresh the status.

Follow the steps below to activate File-Flash Plus.
- Add the library FFPLUS to your library list by typing 'ADDLIBLE FFPLUS'.
- Type the command 'FILSEC', and press Enter.
- Enter your License Key. We recommend copying and pasting your key if it was sent via email.
- To test if the key is valid type the command 'FILDSP' and specify one of your files.

Troubleshooting License Key Problems
If your product is not successfully activated after entering your license key using the steps described on this page, please submit a ticket to Technical Support or call the support line (250)655-1766 7:30-5pm [PST]. Please include a screenshot of the unlock screen.
You can also check the following:
- Double-check that you entered the key correctly. License keys are case sensitive. If you received the key by email, we recommend you copy & paste the key from the email.
- Where applicable, confirm the correct option was selected (temporary or permanent license key).
- For permanent license keys verify that the model, processor, serial and partition numbers match what the specs that the license key was generated with.
